Bab Sidi Abdelouahab
Bab Sidi Abdelouahab is a historic gate of the Oujda medina, part of the old fortified town's defensive architecture near the city's eastern approaches toward the Algerian border, reflecting Oujda's long history as a contested frontier city. Successive dynasties strengthened the town's walls and gates over the centuries as control of the region shifted, leaving Oujda with several such historic gateways still standing today.
