Uber quietly returned to Morocco in late 2025, but it only runs in Casablanca and Marrakech, and availability is patchy. inDrive is now the most consistently available ride-hailing app nationwide — Casablanca, Rabat, Marrakech and beyond — and lets you negotiate the fare directly with the driver before confirming. Careem covers a handful of major cities too.

Having two or three of these apps installed before you land means you almost always have a fallback if one shows no drivers nearby. They're also the simplest way to avoid the classic "broken meter" routine some petit taxi drivers try on tourists, since the fare is agreed or calculated in the app up front.

Outside the big cities, though, you'll still be relying on flagging down petit taxis the old-fashioned way — so it's worth reading the taxi-fare tip below too.
