Medina alleys rarely have visible street signs, and the same lane can be known by two or three different names depending on who you ask. Written addresses — even the one your riad emails you — are close to useless for actually finding the door.
Instead, ask your riad or hotel for a GPS pin (a maps link) before you arrive, and don't be shy about calling them from the medina's main gate for a phone-guided walk-in — this is completely normal and most riads expect it. Offline maps (downloaded before you lose signal) are worth having as backup, since medina walls can weaken GPS accuracy in the tightest alleys.
Getting turned around in the maze is part of the charm — just make sure you can always get back to a known landmark.
